Peanut Butter Brownies

My two favourite food items have to be chocolate and peanut butter. So this weekend I combined my two favourite ingredients and I made peanut butter brownies, they were absolutely delicious. My ideal dessert. I can’t wait to make them again!!

A day or at least 2 hours before you want to make the brownies, melt the peanut butter and pour into discs before freezing them.

You will need:

  • 400g of peanut butter 
  • 5 eggs 
  • 350g sugar
  • 300g melted butter 
  • 325g chopped dark chocolate 
  • 130g self-raising flour 
  • 70g plain flour 
  • 70g cocoa powder 
  • 1tbs vanilla extract 

After the peanut butter has been in the freezer for almost two hours. Preheat the oven to 180•C.

Melt the butter and add the dark chocolate, stir until the chocolate has completely melted.

Whisk the eggs and sugar together until light and fluffy, add the vanilla extract.

Add the chocolate mixture to the egg and sugar mixture and whisk together.

Sift the flour and cocoa powder to the mixture. Fold the mixture until everything has combined.

Add half the mixture to a tin, add the peanut butter discs then add the rest of the mixture on top.

Cook for 40-45mins. (Cooking time depends how deep your tray is).

Finally, tuck in!!! They’re the best thing ever to eat warm.

These peanut butter brownies are so easy to make and are absolutely delicious!!

    Hi, this looks lovely. I am vegan though so I am now looking to see if I can use an egg replacement as I am eager to try this. I do a lot of cooking and use coconut oil or vegan butter. However these do looks gorgeous and as soon as I have found the ingredients for this that are suitable for vegans I will be making it. Thanks for inspiring me. I love trying new recipes

      I’m lactose intolerant so I used a dairy free butter for this, I’d love to know if it works with an egg alternative though !! Please let me know 🙂
