I’ve always been creative, I get so many ideas in my head. I love trying to figure out ways to try and make them a reality. I’ve always loved wearing jewellery, so I booked myself on a course so I could make a few bits myself. I done a one day taster jewellery making course with London Jewellery Workshop. I loved it!
The first task was to cut a shape out of a copper piece to make a pendant. I went for a feather, after it was all cut out, I added texture before polishing it. I’m happy with how it turned out, my first ever experience with working with metal!
After lunch we then got to make adjustable rings, I tried doing an arrow head design with my copper metal. Although I need to work on sawing straight… I’m pretty happy with how it turned out.
My second ring attempt was with silver. I done rounded corners, stamped a message on the inside of the ring and I textured the metal band. I’m super happy with how it turned out (photo below) and I hope my boyfriend likes it too because it’s for him lol!
The workshop was super cute. It’s near Brick Lane in London, I was in a class of 5 which was the perfect amount as the teacher could help us all individually. They offer so many other amazing courses.
I was taught by a lady called Sharla and she’s amazing! I had the best day creating little pieces of jewellery and I’m already looking to book another class!!
