I don’t know about you, but in winter, even brands palest foundations are often too dark for me. (The consequences of being pale). So when I saw The Body Shop Shade Adjusting Drops I was eager to try them out. I was also interested to see how the darkening shade would work in my foundations for when I had fake tan on.
I think it is very important to not use too much of these products when mixing with foundation. Too much of the lightning drops will change the foundations consistency, too much of the darkening drops makes your light foundation turn dark and grey/ashy. Half a drop of these drops will lighten/darken your foundation by one shade – I wouldn’t personally use more than this.
If you’re only changing the shade of your foundation slightly, then these drops will be perfect for you! The drops are only £10, so it’s an extremely affordable and effective way to change the shade of your foundation slightly.
I love the consistency of these drops, they’re not too watery or too creamy. They are the perfect consistency for blending in with foundation, its easy and effortless to use. Overall, I’m pleasantly surprised with this product – it does exactly what I need it to and it does it very well. But, I would not recommend this product if you want to change the shade of your foundation drastically!
