My 2016 Makeup Standouts

Hello! It’s been a while. I hope everyone had an amazing Christmas and New Year!! I’m starting this new year by becoming more organised and dedicating time for blogging in my new uni schedule, blogging took a back seat towards the end of 2016 because I got so busy.

What best way to get back into blogging than to round-up 2016 with my beauty favourites?!

PRIMER – Smashbox photo finish

I find myself reaching for this primer constantly, I don’t really use any other primers because this one gives my foundation a flawless finish and I know it doesn’t break me out.

FOUNDATION – Giorgio Armani luminous silk foundation

I don’t have a bad word to say about this foundation, it really does make your skin look luminous and is perfect for day-to-day as well as special occasions.

CONCEALER – I couldn’t pick just one. MAC pro longwear & NARS radiant creamy concealer

Both are full coverage and last all day. Neither settle into my fine lines, I love them both!

CC CREAM – The Body Shop instagow

I only use this in summer or when I’ve fake tanned, it just gives your face an instant healthy glow.

CREAM BRONZER – Chanel soleil tan de chanel

I can’t say enough good things about this bronzer, it’s so creamy and just melts into the skin to warm up your face. It applies quickly and easily, you get beautiful results every time.

BRONZER – MAC bronzing powder in matte bronze

This has been my only powder bronzer that I’ve used throughout this year, I’ve been so happy with it that I haven’t looked around to try anything else. It’s the perfect shade for my skin tone.

HIGHLIGHTER – The Balm mary-lou manizer

Gives you an incredible glow, I always end up covering my face in it because it’s so beautiful.

POWDER – Laura Mercier translucent powder

I don’t even need to say anything about this product, it’s such a cult product and is so well-known for being THE BEST THING EVER!!

SETTING SPRAY – MAC fix +

Helps my skin look dewy and natural by getting rid of excess powder, helping my makeup melt into my skin.

LIPS – YSL rouge volupté shine 44 & MAC velvet teddy lipstick and stripdown liner

Favourite day-to-day and evening lip combinations. The formula of all the lip products are incredible.

EYE PRIMER – MAC soft ochre paint pot

Makes my eyeshadow last all day and all night.

MASCARA – Benefit they’re real

My standout mascara, elongates my eyelashes and makes them look so much thicker!

EYEBROW – Dior sourcils poudre & L’Oreal brow artiste sculpt gel (I need to get a new one)

Buildable, so it can give me perfect natural or standout eyebrows.

LOOSE GLITTER – Tanya Burr

Was part of the 2016 12 days of christmas advent calendar. Looks so beautiful on the eyes.

EYESHADOW PALETTES – Morphe 35O matte & shimmer palettes

Every nude and brown shade a girl could ask for, shadows are incredible quality. My all time favourite!!!

Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed this post!! What are your 2016 beauty favourites? I’d love to know to try something new! Hopefully I should get back into a regular blogging routine soon, so don’t forget to subscribe so you never miss a post!

great set of favourites! I have been contemplating buying the mary-lou manizer for so long, but can’t decide if its worth it as its quite expensive! Might have to take the plunge because it looks so pretty!

I’d definitely recommend it!! I feel like it’s going to last forever too, had it for almost a year and barely made a dent in it !😂
