Quick & Filling Breakfast Recipe | Dairy Free Porridge

Everyone says breakfast is the most important meal of the day. If you start off on a good and filling breakfast, you’ll be set up for the rest of your day. This recipe is one of my favourites when I have a busy day ahead, it only takes 15 minutes to make.

You will need:

50g porridge oats

350ml hazelnut milk/almond milk/milk/water/a mixture

1 banana

Desired amount of walnuts and seeds

Honey (optional) – I drizzled a teaspoon of honey on at the end to add sweetness.

Method

Put oats in a saucepan with the hazelnut milk, bring to the boil and simmer for 5 minutes (or until you reach the consistency you like), stirring the porridge so it doesn’t get stuck to the bottom of the pan. Once it’s cooked, pour into a bowl and add toppings! It’s as easy as that. You could experiment with different toppings too.

I love this recipe, it’s so tasty. You get nuttiness from the hazelnut milk, sweetness from the banana and some crunch from the nuts and seeds. It has to be one of my favourite breakfasts. Good enough to eat!
