My Skin Care Routine | How To Clear Acne

I always hear the saying “if it isn’t broken, don’t try to fix it” well that’s exactly what i’ve done with my skin care routine. I’ve been using the same routine for over two years now to help to minimise my acne breakouts. When you try to clear acne you don’t see results straight away with skincare, it often gets worse just before it gets better. So keep that in mind if you’re trying out a new skincare product. I use the Clinique three step anti-blemish treatment every morning and evening to cleanse my skin, and depending on whether I have any active spots I also use the clearing gel.

My skin has good and bad periods, it’s like a Russian roulette it can either be amazing or really bad. But I always feel like my skincare routine helps my breakouts clear really quickly.

The three step system is pretty self explanatory, you first wash your face with the cleansing foam, then you use the clarifying lotion on a cotton bud, and finally you moisturise. The clearing gel isn’t for every day, it helps dry out active breakouts so they go quicker.

It might seem like a lot to do everyday, and it is expensive in comparison to other alternatives but it’s something that’s really helped to improve my skin. So I hope it’ll help you too if you decide to give it a go.

Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed this post. Let me know your skincare routine down below I was thinking of trying some alternatives!

So do I! Their skincare and makeup range is amazing!

YES! I have a lot of their makeup but their dramatically different moisturiser was too heavy for my skin. Is the Anti Blemish stuff light? (I use the anti blemish foundation 😉 )

The moisturiser is so light and absorbs into the skin in seconds! The foam and cleanser are both light too , you don’t really leave them on the skin though, and I use the foundation as well!

Great post 🙂 I really wanted this to work for my skin! The foaming cleanser is a favorite of mine but I found that my skin got used to the treatment. I love Clinique though, and their SPF is great for acne prone skin!

Thank you! Oh really? That’s such a shame. I haven’t tried that I’ll have to because I always break out with regular sun cream!

You might actually love Super Goops Defense Refresh Mist. It’s mattifying and has SPF 50. The best part about it is it doesn’t leave any residue and dries quickly so it won’t break you out. I’m doing a review of it soon!
