Now I know this is a bit late to the party (it’s the 16th of January already!!) but i’d thought i’d share with you my top beauty picks of 2015.
I’m going to talk about my picks in the order that I’d put them on my face, so lets start with foundation.
My favourite foundation by far this year is the No7 beautifully matte foundation, it’s super high coverage and blends out like a dream when you apply it. It’s great for covering any imperfections or any redness. I’ve got a whole separate blog post on it here.
My favourite concealer has to be the Urban Decay naked skin concealer, its brilliant for covering up your dark circles as well as acting as a highlighter at the same time. I have it in a shade where it’s light enough to act as a highlighter but can also cover up blemishes, so that once it’s blended out it doesn’t attract any attention. The perfect shade!!
I haven’t really tried any powders other than this Clinique stay matte translucent powder so by default it wins! However, that is to say that i’ve been so happy with it that I haven’t gone out to purchase a different one.
I didn’t pick a top blush for 2015, because it wasn’t until later in the year that I actually started wearing blush religiously. But so far my favourite has to be the Benefit dallas blusher, it’s the perfect rosy tone for my complexion. But I will definitely investigate more blushes in 2016!
Bronzer of 2015 has to be Clinique‘s true bronzer in 02 sunkissed, its a light bronze colour with specs of glitter in it and it gives me the perfect dewy golden look.
There was no competition for highlighter this year, it had to be the mary-lou manager by the balm, it is literally perfection and gives you that glow that every girl wants.
My favourite eyeshadow palettes have to be the Urban Decay naked palettes, I own them all apart from the Naked palette 1 and 3 (which I will soon get my hands on). The shadows are just so pigmented, creamy and so blendable. Definitely worth the money, if you haven’t tried them go get one now (you can even blame me).
Mascara, has to be the Benefit they’re real mascara – I love the plastic applicator as it separates your lashes perfectly so you get more natural longer looking lashes and not a clumpy mess.
Now, i’m not by any means a skilled eyeliner user but the Maybelline master ink matte liner as made the job slightly easier for me. With a thin easier to use applicator it doesn’t take me hours to get my two wings to match – amazing!
I’m a serious lipstick hoarder, so I couldn’t just pick one favourite lipstick for 2015. Although the mac lipsticks slightly top it for me, I couldn’t leave out the super grunge dark purple one from revlon, or my new found love for the NXY matte lipsticks or even the No7 matte lip crayon. I just kept on picking more up. I just love lipsticks what can I say.
My favourite lashes have to be the Ardell demi wispies, giving me those Kylie Jenner signature lashes.
And finally – my favourite beauty applicator of 2015 has to be the Beauty Blender, it just blends everything like a dream and I don’t think I could live without it now.
Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed my long ramble of products that I’ve loved throughout 2015. Comment some of your favourites down below for me to try.
Love, Estelle X
